Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Herd Keeper application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Herd Keeper. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. The App and License

Herd Keeper is a farm management application for goat farmers. A one-time purchase of ₱199 grants you a permanent, non-expiring license to use all offline features of the App on your personal device, including:

• Unlimited farms, goats, and local records
• Health tracking, weight logs, breeding records, and reminders
• Inventory, expense, and sales management
• Analytics and offline reports
• Local AI chat (reads your local farm data, no internet required)
• Marketplace access (requires internet)
• Free cloud backup of structured records (goats, health, reminders, etc.)

All features listed above are available with the one-time purchase — no recurring payments required. The license is personal, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable.

3. Subscription Services

Optional subscriptions unlock cloud media backup and online AI features. All offline features remain fully available regardless of subscription status.

Advanced — ₱299/month

Unlimited cloud backup for photos.

Pro — ₱399/month

Everything in Advanced, plus unlimited cloud backup for videos.

Max — ₱499/month

Everything in Pro, plus online AI features: Cloud AI Chat, Body Condition Scoring Scanner, Plant & Grass Identification, and Weight Estimation.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Access to subscription features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time. Previously backed-up media remains in cloud storage but stops receiving new updates after cancellation.

4. Purchases and Payments

All purchases — both the one-time app purchase and subscription billing — are processed by the respective app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and are subject to their payment terms and refund policies. Herd Keeper does not directly handle payment information.

Prices are displayed in Philippine Peso (PHP) and may vary by region as determined by the app store. Subscription prices are subject to change; changes will be communicated in advance.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes related to farm management
• Provide accurate information about your farm and animals
• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Not circumvent or attempt to bypass subscription tier restrictions
• Not use the App to transmit harmful, unlawful, or fraudulent content

6. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all farm data you enter into Herd Keeper. Herd Keeper claims no intellectual property rights over your records, photos, or content.

By enabling cloud backup, you grant Herd Keeper a limited license to store and sync your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license ends when you delete your account.

7. Marketplace

Herd Keeper provides a marketplace platform that connects goat buyers and sellers. Marketplace access is included with the one-time app purchase and does not require a subscription.

Herd Keeper is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the quality or condition of animals, or the completion of any transaction. Users are solely responsible for verifying animals before purchase and for resolving disputes with other users.

We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend marketplace access for violations of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The Herd Keeper name, logo, app design, and underlying code are the exclusive property of Herd Keeper. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the personal use license described in Section 2.

You retain ownership of your farm data as described in Section 6.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

AI-generated recommendations (body condition scores, plant identifications, weight estimates) are provided for informational purposes only and should not replace professional veterinary advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Herd Keeper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to Herd Keeper in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Philippines.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
